Spaghetti alla Carbonara

Ingredients

  • 500g spaghetti
  • 100g Parmesan
  • 125g ham cubes
  • One egg
  • 500ml milk
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Olive oil
  • Vegetable broth

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water with some salt to a boil for the spaghetti.
  2. Peel the garlic cloves and cut into slices.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large pan/wok and fry the garlic together with the ham.
  4. Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package directions.
  5. Add the milk, egg, Parmesan and some vegetable broth to a tall container and blend into a sauce.
  6. Remove the garlic from the pan.
  7. Drain the spaghetti and add to the pan.
  8. Add the sauce to the pan and fold well into the spaghetti. Stir on low to medium heat until the sauce thickens.
  9. Serve the spaghetti directly on plates or in a large bowl.

Enjoy your meal!

PS: Instead of milk, you can use some of the cooking water. If the Parmesan is grated, the sauce doesn’t need to be blended.
