Spaghetti alla Carbonara
Ingredients
- 500g spaghetti
- 100g Parmesan
- 125g ham cubes
- One egg
- 500ml milk
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Olive oil
- Vegetable broth
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water with some salt to a boil for the spaghetti.
- Peel the garlic cloves and cut into slices.
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan/wok and fry the garlic together with the ham.
- Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package directions.
- Add the milk, egg, Parmesan and some vegetable broth to a tall container and blend into a sauce.
- Remove the garlic from the pan.
- Drain the spaghetti and add to the pan.
- Add the sauce to the pan and fold well into the spaghetti. Stir on low to medium heat until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the spaghetti directly on plates or in a large bowl.

PS: Instead of milk, you can use some of the cooking water. If the Parmesan is grated, the sauce doesn’t need to be blended.
