Ben's Chicken Teriyaki

Ingredients for the Sauce

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp grated garlic

Other Ingredients

  • 450g chicken breast fillet
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1.5 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • One spring onion

Instructions

  1. Grate ginger and garlic and mix with the other sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the chicken. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Fry the meat on high heat for 5-6 minutes until the water has completely evaporated and it’s nicely browned.
  5. Add the teriyaki sauce and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes on medium heat until the sauce has thickened.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
