Baguette

Ingredients

  • 300ml lukewarm water
  • 15g fresh yeast
  • 5g sugar
  • 380g wheat flour (type 550)
  • 7g salt
  • 125g crispy fried onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add water, yeast and sugar to a bowl and mix well.
  2. Add flour, salt and fried onions and knead into a smooth dough.
  3. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise for 2 hours.
  4. Divide the dough into two equal pieces, shape into baguettes and place on a baguette tray with baking paper.
  5. Dust the baguettes with flour and bake for about 25 minutes at 240Β°C with top and bottom heat.
