Almond Crescents
This makes about one baking tray.
Ingredients
- 200g marzipan paste
- 100g sliced almonds
- 100g dark cake glaze
- 1 egg white
- 100g sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (convection 180°C).
- Mix the marzipan thoroughly with sugar and egg white. Shape the mixture into a roll with wet hands and divide into equal-sized pieces. Shape these into small crescents and roll in sliced almonds.
- Place the crescents on baking paper, press down slightly and bake until golden brown for about 15 minutes (no longer, they continue baking!).
- Finally, dip the ends of the cooled crescents in warmed cake glaze.
