Almond Crescents

This makes about one baking tray.

Ingredients

  • 200g marzipan paste
  • 100g sliced almonds
  • 100g dark cake glaze
  • 1 egg white
  • 100g sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (convection 180°C).
  2. Mix the marzipan thoroughly with sugar and egg white. Shape the mixture into a roll with wet hands and divide into equal-sized pieces. Shape these into small crescents and roll in sliced almonds.
  3. Place the crescents on baking paper, press down slightly and bake until golden brown for about 15 minutes (no longer, they continue baking!).
  4. Finally, dip the ends of the cooled crescents in warmed cake glaze.
